In line with CORDS vision of ensuring that every child has access to quality education, Community Research and Development Services (CORDS), in collaboration with the Strømme Foundation, recently conducted a follow-up visit to Longido Primary School to assess the impact of the support previously provided to COBET (Complementary Basic Education in Tanzania) pupils.

“A Talking Classroom” initiative, a learning-friendly classroom environment established to enhance pupils’ participation, reading culture, and overall learning experience. Earlier, CORDS and the Strømme Foundation supported the school through the provision of 25 desks accommodating 65 pupils, curriculum books, and other teaching and learning materials aimed at improving access to quality education.

The initiative was designed to support COBET (Complementary Basic Education in Tanzania) learners by creating a conducive and child-friendly learning environment that motivates children to attend school regularly and pursue their educational goals. The follow-up visit also provided an opportunity to engage with teachers and learners to better understand the impact of the intervention and identify areas for continued support.
CORDS remains committed to working with partners and communities to promote inclusive and equitable education for all children, especially those from marginalized communities. Through initiatives such as the Talking Classroom, the organization continues to invest in creating learning environments that empower children to thrive academically and achieve their dreams.
